Uses

Used with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity.

Hypoglycemia, weight gain, gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, and dizziness may occur.

Risk of hypoglycemia increases with missed meals or excessive exertion.

Sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin release from pancreatic beta cells.

Store at room temperature.
