Uses

This combination ophthalmic solution is used as an artificial tear lubricant for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dry eye or environmental exposure. It is suitable for use with contact lenses in some formulations.

Do not use if

Do not use if the solution has changed color or become cloudy. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the product.

Side effects

Generally very well tolerated. Rarely, transient blurring of vision immediately after instillation. Persistent eye pain, visual changes, or worsening redness for more than 72 hours warrant discontinuation and medical evaluation.

Warnings

For external ophthalmic use only. Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface to avoid contamination. Replace cap after each use. Stop use and consult a doctor if eye pain, vision changes, or redness worsens or persists beyond 72 hours. Keep out of reach of children.

How it works

Polyethylene glycol and propylene glycol are viscosity-enhancing agents that form a lubricating film over the ocular surface, mimicking the aqueous layer of the tear film. They reduce friction between the eyelid and conjunctiva and prolong contact time on the cornea.

Storage

Store at room temperature (15–25°C), away from direct light and heat. Do not freeze. Single-dose units should be discarded immediately after use.
