Uses

Used as replacement therapy in primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency and in salt-losing adrenogenital syndrome.

Do not use if

Systemic fungal infections and hypersensitivity to fludrocortisone or formulation components.

May cause hypertension, edema, heart failure, hypokalemia, and fluid retention.

Monitor blood pressure, electrolytes, and signs of infection during therapy.

Potent mineralocorticoid with corticosteroid activity that promotes sodium retention and potassium excretion.

Store at 15–30°C and avoid excessive heat.
