Uses

Used as an adjunct anti-inflammatory and proteolytic enzyme preparation to reduce swelling, bruising, and pain associated with trauma, surgery, or musculoskeletal inflammation. Rutin provides additional antioxidant and capillary-protective effects.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bromelain, trypsin, rutin, or any component. Use with caution in patients on anticoagulants, as proteolytic enzymes may potentiate bleeding risk.

Side effects

Generally well tolerated. May cause gastrointestinal upset, nausea, or diarrhea. Allergic reactions, including skin rash or bronchospasm, have been reported rarely, particularly in patients sensitive to pineapple or papaya.

Warnings

Avoid use in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment. Use with caution perioperatively and in patients on antiplatelet or anticoagulant therapy. Discontinue if hypersensitivity reactions occur.

How it works

Bromelain and trypsin are proteolytic enzymes that break down proteins involved in the inflammatory cascade, reducing edema and fibrin deposition. Rutin is a flavonoid that stabilizes capillary walls and has antioxidant properties. L-leucine is a branched-chain amino acid that supports tissue repair.

Store at room temperature (15–25°C), away from heat, light, and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
