Uses

Used for treatment-resistant schizophrenia and reduction of recurrent suicidal behavior in schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clozapine or formulation components.

Sedation, weight gain, constipation, hypersalivation, orthostatic hypotension, and tachycardia may occur.

Requires regular blood monitoring due to risk of severe neutropenia. May cause seizures, myocarditis, and serious cardiovascular effects.

Atypical antipsychotic with activity at dopamine, serotonin, adrenergic, histaminergic, and cholinergic receptors.

Store at room temperature.
