Uses

Used for prevention and treatment of folate and vitamin B12 deficiency and nutritional supplementation.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

Generally well tolerated. Rarely may cause gastrointestinal discomfort or hypersensitivity reactions.

Vitamin B12 deficiency should be excluded before treating anemia with folic acid alone.

Folic acid and vitamin B12 are essential for DNA synthesis, red blood cell production, and neurologic function.

Store at 20–25°C in a cool, dry place.
