Uses

Used with diet to reduce LDL cholesterol and lower cardiovascular risk in appropriate patients.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in active liver disease, acute liver failure, or hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin.

May cause muscle pain, headache, nausea, or elevated liver enzymes. Rare severe muscle injury can occur.

Monitor for myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, liver dysfunction, and interactions that increase risk.

HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that reduces cholesterol synthesis and increases LDL clearance.

Store at room temperature and protect from moisture.
