Uses
Treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections and Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections, including certain cases of endocarditis.
Do not use if
Known hypersensitivity to daptomycin.
Side effects
Muscle pain, elevated CPK, hypersensitivity reactions, and gastrointestinal symptoms may occur.
Warnings
Monitor for myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, and serious hypersensitivity reactions. Not indicated for pneumonia.
