Uses
This combination of copper, iron, and zinc is used as a mineral supplement to correct or prevent deficiencies of these essential trace elements. It supports red blood cell production, immune function, and enzyme activity, and may be indicated in women of childbearing age and during pregnancy.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hemochromatosis, iron storage diseases, or known hypersensitivity to any ingredient. Avoid high-dose iron in patients with chronic inflammatory conditions without confirmed deficiency.
Side effects
Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal upset, nausea, constipation, and dark-colored stools due to iron. Allergic sensitization to components can occur. High doses of zinc may interfere with copper absorption.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children; iron overdose is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Avoid contact with moisture during storage. Consult a physician before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
How it works
Iron is incorporated into hemoglobin and myoglobin, supporting oxygen transport. Zinc is essential for over 300 enzymatic reactions, including those involved in DNA synthesis and immune response. Copper is required for iron metabolism, connective tissue synthesis, and antioxidant defense via superoxide dismutase.
Storage
Store at 20–25°C. Avoid exposure to moisture, which can discolor or erode the tablet.
