Uses
Used for gradual treatment of melasma, chloasma, freckles, and other hyperpigmented skin conditions.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to hydroquinone or formulation ingredients.
Side effects
May cause local irritation, redness, burning, dryness, and allergic contact dermatitis.
Warnings
Avoid excessive sun exposure and use sunscreen. Discontinue if significant irritation develops.
How it works
Hydroquinone inhibits melanin synthesis by interfering with tyrosinase-mediated pigment production.
