Uses

Used as an adjunct to general anesthesia to facilitate tracheal intubation and provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cisatracurium.

Side effects

May cause bradycardia, hypotension, flushing, bronchospasm, and rash.

Warnings

Residual paralysis may occur. Use only with appropriate respiratory support and monitoring.

How it works

A nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocker that competitively inhibits acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction.
