Uses

Used to reduce excessive bleeding, including heavy menstrual bleeding and other bleeding conditions associated with increased fibrinolysis.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in active thromboembolic disease, high thrombotic risk, and hypersensitivity to tranexamic acid.

Headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, nausea, muscle cramps, and back pain may occur.

May increase the risk of thrombosis. Use cautiously with hormonal contraceptives.

Antifibrinolytic agent that inhibits plasmin-mediated breakdown of fibrin clots.

Store at 15–30°C.
