Uses
Used as a nutritional supplement to support nerve repair and regeneration, particularly in peripheral neuropathies. Nucleotide components (cytidine monophosphate, uridine monophosphate) provide building blocks for myelin synthesis, while thiamine (B1) and cyanocobalamin (B12) support neuronal metabolism and axonal integrity.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component. Use with caution in patients with Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy when using cyanocobalamin form of B12.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea or stomach discomfort may occur. Allergic reactions are rare. High-dose B12 may rarely cause acne-like skin eruptions.
Warnings
Patients with renal impairment should use B-vitamin supplements with caution. This product is a dietary supplement and does not replace treatment of underlying neurological disease.
How it works
Cytidine monophosphate and uridine monophosphate are pyrimidine nucleotides that serve as substrates for phospholipid synthesis in neuronal membranes and myelin. Thiamine (B1) acts as a cofactor in carbohydrate metabolism and neuronal energy production. Cyanocobalamin (B12) is essential for DNA synthesis, methylation reactions, and myelin sheath maintenance.
Storage
Store at room temperature (15–30°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
