Uses
Hyaluronan in oral gels is used to soothe and protect inflamed or irritated gingival tissues, support wound healing after minor oral procedures, and manage gingival inflammation including gingivitis.
Do not use if
Hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or any component of the formulation.
Side effects
Generally well tolerated. Rare local reactions such as transient burning or mild irritation may occur. Systemic side effects are not expected with topical oral use.
Warnings
For oral mucosal use only; avoid ingesting large amounts. Discontinue if signs of hypersensitivity develop.
How it works
Hyaluronan is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan that binds water and provides a viscoelastic matrix in connective tissues. Topically, it promotes tissue hydration, supports cell migration during wound healing, and exerts anti-inflammatory effects in the gingival epithelium.
Storage
Store at room temperature (15–25°C), away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
