Uses
Used as a topical acne clarifying gel combining antiseptic, keratolytic, and anti-inflammatory agents to reduce acne lesions, control excess sebum, and promote clearer skin.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to salicylates or any component. Avoid use on broken, inflamed, or eczematous skin. Not for use in children under 12 years without medical advice.
Side effects
May cause skin dryness, peeling, local irritation, or allergic contact dermatitis, particularly with salicylic acid and essential oils. Photosensitivity may be increased.
Warnings
Use sunscreen when using this product, as salicylic acid may increase sun sensitivity. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If excessive dryness or irritation occurs, reduce frequency of application. For external use only.
How it works
Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that exfoliates the stratum corneum and unclogs pores. Triclosan (irgasan), tea tree oil, clove oil, and thyme oil provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Cutibacterium acnes. Lavender and wheat germ oils offer anti-inflammatory and emollient properties.
