Uses

Used with diet to reduce elevated LDL cholesterol in primary and familial hyperlipidemia.

Do not use if

Contraindicated with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, active liver disease, and hypersensitivity.

Muscle symptoms, elevated liver enzymes, and gastrointestinal complaints may occur.

Monitor for myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, and hepatic dysfunction.

Combines inhibition of intestinal cholesterol absorption with inhibition of cholesterol synthesis.

Store at room temperature in a dry place.
