Used for anxiety disorders and short-term relief of anxiety symptoms.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines and acute narrow-angle glaucoma.

Common effects include sedation, dizziness, weakness, unsteadiness, and drowsiness.

Risk of dependence, misuse, withdrawal reactions, and severe sedation when combined with opioids.

A benzodiazepine that enhances GABA activity in the central nervous system producing anxiolytic and sedative effects.
