Uses

Used for serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and certain gram-positive organisms.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin.

Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, rash, and Clostridioides difficile-associated colitis may occur.

May cause severe and potentially fatal antibiotic-associated colitis.

Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit.

Store at 20–25°C and avoid excessive heat exposure.
