Uses

A calcium supplement combined with magnesium and vitamin D for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiencies. Supports bone health, muscle function, and neuromuscular transmission. Often used as a prenatal supplement and in conditions requiring enhanced bone mineral density.

Do not use if

Hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, nephrolithiasis, severe renal impairment. Hypersensitivity to any component. Iron therapy is contraindicated in patients with hemochromatosis (if iron is included).

Side effects

Generally well tolerated. Gastrointestinal effects (constipation, bloating, nausea) may occur, especially with calcium carbonate. Excessive calcium and vitamin D may lead to hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, and renal calculi.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children. Accidental overdose of supplements containing iron is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Total daily intake should not exceed safe upper limits. Store away from heat and moisture.

How it works

Calcium is the principal mineral for bone and teeth structure and is essential for neuromuscular transmission and blood coagulation. Vitamin D enhances intestinal calcium absorption and renal calcium reabsorption. Magnesium is a cofactor for over 300 enzymatic reactions, supports vitamin D activation, and contributes to bone matrix formation.

Store at room temperature, approximately 15°C–30°C (59°F–86°F), away from excessive heat and moisture.
