Uses

Used for edema associated with heart failure, liver disease, or nephrotic syndrome and for hypertension in selected patients.

Do not use if

Anuria, severe renal impairment, hyperkalemia, Addison's disease, or hypersensitivity to sulfonamide-derived drugs.

Hypotension, dizziness, electrolyte abnormalities, weakness, and gastrointestinal disturbances may occur.

Avoid unnecessary potassium supplementation due to risk of hyperkalemia. Monitor renal function and electrolytes.

Combines a thiazide diuretic with a potassium-sparing diuretic to provide additive diuretic and antihypertensive effects.

Store at room temperature in a dry place.
