Uses
Used for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, including manic or mixed episodes.
Do not use if
Known QT prolongation, recent myocardial infarction, uncompensated heart failure, or hypersensitivity.
Side effects
Somnolence, dizziness, extrapyramidal symptoms, and QT interval prolongation may occur.
Warnings
May increase mortality in elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis. Monitor cardiac risk and QT interval.
