Uses
Used for susceptible bacterial infections involving the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, and other sites.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with serious hypersensitivity to ampicillin, penicillins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics.
Side effects
Diarrhea, rash, nausea, injection-site reactions, and allergic reactions may occur.
Warnings
Serious allergic reactions including anaphylaxis may occur, especially in patients with a history of drug allergy.
