Used for tuberculosis and certain other serious bacterial infections as part of combination therapy.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to rifampicin and with certain interacting medications.

Hepatotoxicity, gastrointestinal upset, rash, flu-like symptoms, and orange-red discoloration of body fluids may occur.

Strong inducer of hepatic enzymes and may reduce effectiveness of many medications.

Rifamycin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase.

Store at room temperature.
