Uses
Used for relief of acute diarrhea associated with bloating, gas, abdominal pressure, and cramps.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with bloody or black stools, hypersensitivity to loperamide, or certain severe intestinal conditions.
Side effects
May cause constipation, nausea, dizziness, abdominal discomfort, or dry mouth.
Warnings
Exceeding recommended doses may cause serious cardiac effects. Seek medical advice if diarrhea persists beyond two days.
How it works
Loperamide slows intestinal motility while simethicone reduces gas bubbles and bloating.
