Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with iron overload disorders such as hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or hemolytic anemia. Folic acid supplementation should be used cautiously in undiagnosed pernicious anemia.
Side effects
Iron may cause gastrointestinal side effects including nausea, constipation, or dark stools. High doses of vitamins may rarely cause adverse effects. Allergic reactions to any component are possible.
Warnings
Iron-containing products represent a leading cause of accidental poisoning in children under 6 years; keep out of reach of children. Seek immediate medical attention in case of accidental overdose.
How it works
Iron is essential for hemoglobin synthesis. Folic acid and vitamin B12 are required for DNA synthesis and red blood cell maturation. Vitamin B6 supports amino acid metabolism, and vitamin C enhances non-heme iron absorption.
Storage
Store at controlled room temperature, protected from heat, light, and moisture.
