Uses
Used for epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, and certain mood disorders.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in bone marrow depression, hypersensitivity to carbamazepine, and concurrent MAOI use.
Side effects
Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, ataxia, and diplopia may occur.
Warnings
Serious skin reactions including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis may occur.
