Used for partial-onset seizures and as adjunctive therapy for primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures.

Do not use if

No absolute contraindications are established apart from hypersensitivity to the drug or formulation components.

Dizziness, ataxia, headache, nausea, diplopia, and fatigue may occur.

Monitor for suicidal thoughts, dizziness, and cardiac conduction abnormalities in susceptible patients.

Antiepileptic agent that enhances slow inactivation of voltage-gated sodium channels.

Store at room temperature.
