Uses

Used for occasional constipation and generally produces bowel movement within several hours.

Do not use if

Concurrent use with mineral oil, intestinal obstruction, or hypersensitivity.

Abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, and electrolyte disturbances may occur.

Do not use for prolonged periods without medical supervision. Seek medical advice if rectal bleeding occurs.

Docusate softens stool while sennosides stimulate bowel motility.

Store at 15–30°C.
