Uses

Used to reduce intraocular pressure in glaucoma and to treat dry mouth associated with Sjögren syndrome or head and neck radiotherapy.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in uncontrolled asthma, hypersensitivity to pilocarpine, and conditions where miosis is undesirable.

May cause sweating, increased urination, nausea, headache, blurred vision, and dizziness.

Use cautiously in patients with cardiovascular disease or pulmonary disorders.

A muscarinic cholinergic agonist that stimulates exocrine gland secretion and contracts the iris sphincter muscle.

Store at room temperature and protect from excessive heat.
