Uses

Used to prevent serious lower respiratory tract disease caused by RSV in high-risk infants and young children, including premature infants and certain patients with bronchopulmonary dysplasia or significant congenital heart disease.

Do not use if

Previous significant hypersensitivity reaction to palivizumab or any component of the product.

Side effects

Fever, rash, injection-site reactions, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Rarely, severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis can occur.

Warnings

Severe hypersensitivity and anaphylaxis may occur. Discontinue permanently if a serious allergic reaction develops.
