Uses

Used for treatment of susceptible bacterial respiratory tract infections including community-acquired pneumonia.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to gemifloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.

Diarrhea, nausea, headache, rash, dizziness, and abdominal pain may occur.

May cause tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, QT prolongation, and central nervous system effects.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV.

Store at room temperature.
