Uses

Antipsychotic used in the management of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia.

Do not use if

Comatose states, severe CNS depression, significant liver disease, blood dyscrasias, and hypersensitivity to phenothiazines.

May cause extrapyramidal symptoms, drowsiness, dizziness, hypotension, and tardive dyskinesia.

Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis have an increased risk of death when treated with antipsychotics.

Phenothiazine antipsychotic that acts on central nervous system dopamine pathways.

Store at 20–25°C. Protect from light and avoid freezing.
