Uses

Do not use if
Contraindicated in rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, viral skin infections, and known hypersensitivity to any component. Not for ophthalmic use.
Side effects
Local effects may include skin atrophy, striae, telangiectasia, burning, and folliculitis. Salicylic acid can cause local irritation. Systemic effects from corticosteroid absorption are rare but possible with prolonged use over large areas.
Warnings
Avoid prolonged use and use on large areas, the face, genitals, or under occlusive dressings. Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression is possible with excessive or prolonged use, especially in children.
How it works
Mometasone furoate is a medium-to-high potency topical corticosteroid that inhibits phospholipase A2 and reduces synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thereby suppressing inflammation. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent that softens and removes hyperkeratotic tissue, enhancing penetration of the corticosteroid.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from heat and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
