Used for epilepsy and for prevention of migraine attacks.

Do not use if

No absolute contraindications are established apart from hypersensitivity to the drug or formulation components.

Dizziness, somnolence, cognitive slowing, weight loss, paresthesia, and fatigue may occur.

May cause metabolic acidosis, kidney stones, decreased sweating, hyperthermia, and vision problems.

Antiepileptic agent that modulates sodium channels, GABA activity, glutamate signaling, and carbonic anhydrase activity.

Store at room temperature in a tightly closed container.
