Used for treatment of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to paliperidone, risperidone, or formulation components.

Weight gain, insomnia, somnolence, tremor, tachycardia, and extrapyramidal symptoms may occur.

Not approved for dementia-related psychosis. Monitor for metabolic effects and neuroleptic malignant syndrome.

Atypical antipsychotic that acts mainly through dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptor antagonism.

Store at 20–25°C and protect from moisture.
