Uses

Used for restoration and maintenance of plasma volume in hypovolemia, hypoalbuminemia, burns, and other conditions requiring colloid support.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with severe hypersensitivity to albumin preparations.

Flushing, nausea, fever, headache, hypersensitivity reactions, and volume overload may occur.

Monitor for fluid overload, cardiopulmonary complications, and allergic reactions.

Natural plasma protein that increases oncotic pressure and expands intravascular volume.

Store refrigerated at 2–8°C unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
