Used for postherpetic neuralgia and as adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to gabapentin or its components.

Common effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and coordination problems.

Monitor for serious hypersensitivity reactions, sedation, dizziness, and suicidal thoughts.

Binds to the alpha-2-delta calcium channel subunit; exact mechanism is not fully understood.
