Uses

Used topically for susceptible bacterial skin infections, particularly those caused by staphylococci.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fusidic acid or formulation components.

Local irritation, itching, redness, and burning sensation may occur.

Use only for bacterial infections and avoid prolonged use to reduce resistance development.

Antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by interfering with elongation factor G.

Store at room temperature away from excessive heat.
