Uses
First-aid topical antibiotic ointment for prevention of infection and temporary relief of pain or discomfort in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in known allergy to any of the ingredients including neomycin, bacitracin, polymyxin B, or pramoxine. Not for use in the eyes.
Side effects
May cause local skin reactions including rash, redness, or itching. Allergic contact dermatitis to neomycin is not uncommon. Discontinue if sensitization occurs or condition worsens.
Warnings
For external use only. Do not apply over large areas of the body or use for more than one week without medical advice. Ask a physician before use on deep puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns.
How it works
Bacitracin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding the 30S ribosomal subunit. Polymyxin B disrupts gram-negative bacterial cell membrane integrity. Pramoxine is a topical anesthetic that blocks nerve conduction to relieve local pain.

Store at controlled room temperature 15–30°C (59–86°F).
