Uses

Used with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, and hypersensitivity to the components.

Nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, and gastrointestinal discomfort may occur.

Monitor renal function and be alert for signs of lactic acidosis or pancreatitis.

Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production while vildagliptin enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion through DPP-4 inhibition.

Store at room temperature away from moisture.
