Uses
Enzyme replacement therapy used for the treatment of Gaucher disease type 1 and certain manifestations of type 3 disease.
Do not use if
Severe hypersensitivity to imiglucerase or formulation components.
Side effects
Infusion-related reactions, fever, headache, nausea, and hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
Warnings
Administration should occur under specialist supervision with monitoring for infusion reactions.
How it works
Replaces deficient glucocerebrosidase enzyme and reduces substrate accumulation in Gaucher disease.
