Used for serious infections caused by susceptible gram-positive bacteria, including MRSA.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to vancomycin.

Infusion reactions, nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, rash, and hypotension may occur.

Rapid infusion may cause severe infusion-related reactions. Monitor renal function during therapy.

Glycopeptide antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.
