Uses
Used with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Do not use if
Contraindicated in patients with NYHA class III or IV heart failure and hypersensitivity to pioglitazone.
Side effects
Weight gain, edema, headache, upper respiratory infections, and muscle pain may occur.
