Uses

Bronchodilator used in obstructive airway diseases such as asthma and COPD.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to xanthines or severe uncontrolled arrhythmias.

Nausea, tremor, insomnia, palpitations, and headache may occur.

Monitor for toxicity, especially in elderly patients and those with liver disease.

Relaxes bronchial smooth muscle through phosphodiesterase inhibition and adenosine antagonism.

Store at room temperature.
