Uses

Tricyclic antidepressant used for depression and as adjunctive therapy for nocturnal enuresis in selected children.

Do not use if

Concomitant use with MAO inhibitors, recent myocardial infarction, or hypersensitivity to imipramine.

May cause dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, orthostatic hypotension, and tachycardia.

Monitor for suicidal thoughts, especially in younger patients. Avoid abrupt discontinuation.

Blocks reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, enhancing neurotransmitter activity in the central nervous system.

Store at room temperature and protect from moisture.
