Uses

Traditionally used to help relieve anxiety, nervousness, and stress-related symptoms.

Do not use if

Liver disease, hypersensitivity to kava, or concomitant use with hepatotoxic products.

May cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Rare severe liver toxicity has been reported.

Use cautiously due to the risk of liver injury and additive sedation with alcohol or CNS depressants.

Contains kavalactones that affect neurotransmitter systems and may produce anxiolytic and sedative effects.

Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
