Uses

Used as a local anesthetic for mucous membranes and other procedures requiring temporary loss of sensation.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics.

Local irritation, dizziness, drowsiness, and dose-related neurological or cardiac effects may occur.

Excessive dosing may cause serious neurological or cardiovascular toxicity.

Blocks sodium channels in neuronal membranes, preventing nerve impulse conduction.

Store at room temperature and protect from freezing.
