Uses

Used for symptomatic relief of anxiety, tension, allergic itching, and as a sedative in selected situations.

Do not use if

Hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine, cetirizine, or levocetirizine, and patients with prolonged QT interval.

Common effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, and fatigue.

May impair alertness and cause sedation. Avoid use during breastfeeding and use caution with other CNS depressants.

First-generation antihistamine with sedative, antipruritic, and anxiolytic properties through central H1 receptor blockade.

Store at room temperature and protect from excessive heat.
