Uses

Used for treatment-resistant depression and depressive symptoms associated with major depressive disorder and acute suicidal ideation when used under specialist supervision.

Do not use if

Aneurysmal vascular disease, arteriovenous malformations, intracerebral hemorrhage history, or hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Sedation, dissociation, dizziness, increased blood pressure, nausea, and cognitive impairment may occur.

Warnings

Requires monitoring for sedation, dissociation, respiratory depression, blood pressure elevation, and misuse potential.
