Uses

Used for schistosomiasis and infections caused by susceptible tapeworms and liver flukes, including clonorchiasis and opisthorchiasis.

Do not use if

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to praziquantel and in ocular cysticercosis.

May cause abdominal pain, nausea, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and fever.

Use cautiously in patients with neurologic involvement. Clinical deterioration may occur during acute schistosomiasis.

Praziquantel increases parasite membrane permeability to calcium, causing paralysis and death of susceptible parasites.

Store at room temperature in original packaging.
